Do I have to be a CPA to join? No, that is one of the best features of ASWA. Non-certified and certified alike can benefit from the shared experience and knowledge each of us brings to the organization.
Can I join only at the chapter level? No, you must join both at the national and local chapter level. If you do not live within 50 miles of a chapter, you may become a member-at-large. |

Membership Qualifications and Dues: Regular ( $135.00—$104.00 National plus $31.00 chapter dues) A. Actively engaged in accounting for two or more years, or B. Hold a valid CPA certificate, its equivalent, or other accounting or financial certifications with similar education or experience requirements as determined by the board of directors, or C. Hold a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or its equivalent Associate ( $50.00—$34.00 National plus $16.00 chapter dues) A.. Regularly enrolled students in post-secondary educational institutions, majoring in accounting or a related field, or B. Actively engaged in accounting, or hold a bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or its equivalent with less than two years experience. C. Limited to two years following attainment of qualifications for regular membership and a maximum of seven years. Affiliate ( $135.00—$104.00 National plus $31.00 chapter dues) A. Not actively engaged in accounting, and B. Have a substantial interest in accounting.
